Crossbar Alternative Provision safeguarding arrangements are agreed with and by the associated schools and partners in which we work with.

  • Designated Safeguarding Officer (Level 3), MAPA (De-Escalation & Restraint Trained).

  • Working alongside School Safeguarding Lead.

  • Behaviour management is exercised using a positive approach to challenging behaviour via de-escalation and diversion methods to avoid confrontation and encourage self management of emotions.

  • Our team of education mentors show extreme patience with the students in order to provide the best results and are dedicated to giving more time to each student, listening to their issues/problems as well as breaking down barriers to learning.

  • As an organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and ensures all staff share this commitment.
